Civil Rights

"Civil Rights" law is a broad classification of law that covers everything from the liberties guaranteed to everyone in the United States Constitution to state statutes such as Michigan's Elliot-Larson Civil Rights Act (ELCRA) which prohibits discrimination in employment, public accommodations, and education on the basis of race, sex, age, religion, national origin, height, weight, or marital status.

If you feel that you have been treated unjustly either by the government, private business, or an employer, you may have a civil rights claim.  Anytime the government acts they must do so in a manner that protects the civil rights of all citizens.

Founded by two Combat Veterans, DeCloux & Pierce Law, PLLC cares deeply about protecting the US Constitution and the civil liberties of all people so that no person or group is treated poorly based on their race, sex, or other protected classifications.  We put our lives at risk defending the Constitution and we will aggressively defend your rights under the it.

One of the best parts of the United States and its modern legal system is the core tenet that all people deserve equal treatment and respect.  As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice."
